Sprayberry Vs River Ridge

Welcome to the Band of Gold!

The Band of Gold Experience is a first-hand look of what it means to be a member of the award-winning Sprayberry Marching Band. Join us for a home football game and become a member of the Band of Gold for a night.

Who can attend?

  • Any 8th grade student and their parents from our feeder programs zoned for Sprayberry High School for the 2024-2025 school year.

  • Any current Sprayberry High School student that wishes to join the Sprayberry Marching Band in 2024.

  • Eat pizza with the band before the game!

  • Receive a FREE Sprayberry Band T-shirt!

  • Be a member of the Band of Gold for the night!

  • This is a drop off event. Students must be checked-in by parents between 5:30 and 5:45 pm at the Sprayberry Band Room entrance along the sidewalk.

  • Students may not leave campus until checked out *Please pick-up your student at approx. 9:00 pm (after half time) at the Sprayberry Band room. We must keep track of every student’s whereabouts the entire evening and we cannot do that if students try to leave during the game. No exceptions, please.

All participating students must complete the registration form by August 28th, 2023

What to wear:

  • Students are asked to wear blue jeans and tennis shoes. If it is chilly, wear a long sleeved BLACK shirt. All new students will receive a FREE Sprayberry Band T-shirt to wear as their uniform (Provided).

What to Bring:

  • Woodwind & Brass students should bring their classroom instrument.

    • Exceptions:

      • French Horn, Euphonium & Tuba players will be given a marching instrument to play.

        • PLEASE BRING YOUR MOUTHPIECE!

For Parents:

This event is for you too. Being a band parent and a member of the Sprayberry Band Booster Association is just as rewarding as being a member of the Sprayberry Band. Join us during the BOG Experience. You will:

  • Participate in a brief meeting regarding joining the marching band and learn about the important roles we have for parents.

  • Join the marching band in our special parent/chaperone section in the stands during the football game.

  • Watch your student have an amazing time performing with the Band of Gold.

Parents attending will need to purchase a ticket to the game. Get your advance ticket below.
