The Sprayberry Band has been working hard to share the gift of music with students of all backgrounds for decades. We strive to provide our students with an environment in which they can pursue musical excellence, no matter their interests. Our students can perform in our concert bands, take to the field and play with our marching band, or play swinging solos in the jazz band. We also offer students the chance to learn beautiful and intricate shows in our colorguard and winterguard programs, bring down the house with our percussion ensemble and marching band percussion sections, and be their best selves through our student leadership programs. No matter what your student aspires to achieve, there’s a place for them in our band program where they can learn skills that they will take with them to their future schooling and careers. And, of course, they’ll make friends and have a lot of fun doing it!
But our program cannot exist without the love and support of the community around us. In the past, our band program has relied on the generosity of parents, siblings, students, alumni, community businesses, and community members to keep our program thriving. But with the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on us and our families, we’ve lost many avenues of interacting with and sharing our enthusiasm with our community. We have had to alter or cancel many of our normal fundraisers and we lowered program fees to ensure that all students and families could participate. We also had to cancel programs and events, but we are happy to say that things are getting back to normal. We aim to re-open and reinstate all our programs and events and get back to providing everything we can for our students. But to do that, we need help.
With your donations, we’ll be able to provide students with the equipment they need to achieve musical excellence. We will be able to fund professional, individualized instruction to teach students the skills they need and be a helping hand along the way. We will be able to fully support all of our programs and give our students the opportunities they deserve. From instruments and music to equipment and uniforms, there’s a lot we could use your help with. Our goal is for nothing to stand in the way of Sprayberry’s students and their experience with music and performance, so we’re humbly asking you to help us achieve that dream. Your support will help our program bring these students skills, memories, and friends that will last them a lifetime.
