Skip Wells
Marine Lance Corporal Squire ‘Skip’ Wells was a graduate of Sprayberry High School and alumni of the Sprayberry High School Band. "Skip" was tragically killed in the July 16th, 2015 terrorist attack in Chattanooga, TN along with four other service men. Skip embodied what it meant to be a member of the Sprayberry Band. His commitment to music excellence, service and leadership stood out among his peers in and out of the Sprayberry Band. Mr. Wells played the clarinet for 4 years in the band. He held positions in the Symphonic I band, Band of Gold Marching band and served as a member of the student leadership team. Skip was also very active in the Sprayberry NJROTC which lead him to join the military as a member of the United States Marines.
Sprayberry honors Skip Wells with a memorial placed outside the main school building. He will be missed.
